This holiday season we may think of Whom can give the peace in our heart and Whom can bring peace in the world. But we also should know we do have to find first peace and love in our own heart, before we can find peace outside ourselves.
- Still, Small Voice (connieartiemoore.wordpress.com)
Today, I celebrate that Still, Small Voice that speaks to each of us. Even as we may be chronically unaware of It, It speaks to us of Truth and Love, Peace and Wisdom, Freedom and Abundance so that these things are never far from our hearts.
- Black Friday Peace (leadershipunderground.wordpress.com)
The holiday shopping season is here. Retailers are already pushing for Black Friday, admittedly the worst day of the year for me. My wife loves the crowds on that “glorious shopping day” but I prefer to hide in the woods.During the past two holiday seasons, retailers have been selling to Americans primarily one product – Joy. We saw this message in the car commercials for Lexus and the advertising of Macy’s. The message was everywhere – buy this and you will have joy.
As we approach the 2013 holiday season, I see a trend developing. While joy has been the “hot” product pitch of years past, I see “peace” as the sales pitch of today. We are all worn out. The noise of the national debt, the economy, the healthcare disaster, and the awful national politics, is, well, quite exhausting.
- Peace Prevails (writingtofreedom.wordpress.com)
Most people and life simply reflect back what we give out. By changing their paradime from fear-based security measures to love-based encouragement, the school radically shifted the experience of school for the children.
- Being At Peace! (angelicblessings.wordpress.com)
If we all focused on being at peace, then there would be no wars, no competition, and no competitiveness, to win at all costs. Somehow we have put “being at peace” as the opposite of being competitive.Being at peace is not about being the opposite of being competitive; being at peace is about being at peace with ourselves. Being relaxed, being focused on the tasks at hand without outside influences.
- Creating Peace (beencouraged.wordpress.com)
We must have inner peace to have peace in the home. To have peace in the our communities, we must have peace in our homes. To have peace in the nation, we must have peace in our communities.
- Preparing the Way for Christ: Revs. Bingle, Darring and Lee Dialogue-Advent 1 (judyabl.wordpress.com)
Our Hebrew Scriptures for the first Sunday of Advent herald an age of peace when nations shall beat their swords into plowshares and study war no more(Isaiah 2: 1-5). Nations will come to God’s house on the highest of mountains for instruction in God’s ways so that we may “walk in God’s paths”. Clearly that instruction is instruction in the ways of peace and God’s path is the path of peace. (Is 2:3b)
- How to Sleep in Heavenly Peace This Holiday Season (accidentvictimsalliance.com)
From the run up to Thanksgiving right on through New Year’s Day, the things dancing in my head at bedtime are hardly visions of sugar plums. It’s more likely that my sleep will be disturbed by needless worry over my menu selections, or the number of matching cream-colored napkins I have in stock, or fear I’ve left someone off my gift list.Yes, when it comes to sleep troubles, ’tis the season.
- Poetry of Peace (steppingtoes.wordpress.com)
All I wish is for peace
Just wish for no war
It can be quiet
But doesn’t have to be perfect
All I want is for peace
I want people to love each other
I just want peace
Just remember not everyplace has to have peace
But make the place we love
Make it as peace as a dove
All I want is for peace
Nowhere to be a fight
So we should always work together
Cooperate and never fight
All I want is peace in the world
All you can do is help, work together, solve fights don’t make it
Just pray, no war
All I want is peace
